Bij Overclockers' Workbench heeft men een artikel geschreven over het rondmaken van flatcables. Hierdoor ziet ten eerste je kast er een stuk beter uit, en wordt bovendien de airflow in je kast verbeterd:
But for the diehard overclocker, poorly arranged cables can seriously hamper the airflow in your case and cause the temperature, in the case, to rise to unacceptable levels, even though you have tons of fans blowing air in and out and around… but if it’s not efficient, there’s no point at all to have so many fans. Now, someone around the globe has come up with a perfect idea to tidy up the cables as well as improve the airflow in the case. It’s called “rounding the cables”. Instead of waiting for manufactured round cables that will be revolutionizing ATA cables, called “Serial ATA Cables” (can someone confirm this?), we round the cables ourselves.
