Software-update: Mp3CoolPlay-X 3.5

Peter Hebels van PH Software Technologies heeft in de vorm van 3.5 een nieuwe versie van zijn mediaspeler Mp3CoolPlay-X uitgebracht. Met dit programma kunnen diverse formaten audio worden afgespeeld en gecodeerd. De meest gangbare formaten zijn standaard af te spelen en door middel van plug-ins is dit aantal uit te breiden. Daarnaast heeft Mp3CoolPlay-X een STDOUT encoder aan boord waarmee bestanden naar andere formaten kunnen worden geconverteerd. Tenslotte behoort ook het rippen van cd's tot de mogelijkheden. Voordat encoderen echter mogelijk is moeten er wel eerst encoder-plug-ins worden gedownload. Het changelog van deze versie ziet er als volgt uit:

• Removed a bug that caused Mp3CoolPlay-X to crash when the 'About' dialog was opend after opening the Ogg Vorbis file information dialog. It was caused by a not properly unloading file handler.
• Changed the 'File add' directory listing window back to the one used in the versions before 2.4 I updated it with a better looking, more functional one. The problem was that this new directory listing window caused file loading to be very slow on some systems. It even caused the directory listing to be totally messed up when a drive containing many directory's was loaded into the window.
• Changed the song end detection function, it's much more accurate now and won't cut one second from the end anymore.
• Added support for dragging directories to the playlist, Mp3CoolPlay-X will automaticly recurse them.
• Removed a bug that caused some internet streams using constant tag updating not to be rippable.
• Fixed some crashes and instability problems which appeared when using the tray-icon feature.
