De ontwikkelaars achter Media Portal hebben versie 0.1.0.2 uitgebracht van hun Windows-port van de Xbox media center. Met dit programma kan een pc in een HTPC (Home Theater PC) worden omgetoverd. De software laat je op een eenvoudige manier kijken en luisteren naar radio, muziek, video en dvd's. Daarnaast is het ook in staat om tv-programma's op te nemen. Ook is het uiterlijk aan te passen met bijvoorbeeld de Christmas-skin uit het screenshot. Het changelog van deze release laat de volgende veranderingen zien:
