Tarkus kwam in de nieuwsgroepen van MSI een link naar de 2.6B7 beta BIOS update voor de K7T Turbo tegen. Het is onduidelijk of deze update de problemen met de VIA 686B southbridge oplost, maar wel is de initialisatie procedure van de IDE drives versnelt en worden de aangesloten IDE apparaten nu juist door het BIOS weergegeven:
You can go to this link to download a 2.6B7 release of the bios. I installed in on my board and it has resolved the 10-second boot-up delay that occurred when the IDE drives were being initialized. The BIOS also shows the attached IDE devices correctly now.I didn't see any new BIOS options, however, so I don't think this is for the overclockers out there. It's not clear if the 686B bug-fix is included in this release, but, then again, my SBLive is running just fine (my hard drives are on a Promise Ultra100 PCI card and not connected to the mobo).
