Software-update: Skype 0.97.0.65

Skype is een programma waarmee gesprekken kunnen worden gevoerd met andere Skype gebruikers. Het is ontwikkeld door dezelfde mensen achter KaZaA en maakt ook gebruik van de P2P-techniek uit dat programma. Hierdoor is het volgens de ontwikkelaars mogelijk een gesprek te voeren met een hogere kwaliteit dan via een gewone vaste telefoonverbinding. Onlangs is versie 0.97.0.65 uitgebracht en deze laat de volgende veranderingen zien:

New features:

• Avatar support
• Signed installer and Skype.exe
• Own profile update from network
• Green button press dials a speed-dial, if one is entered into address bar
• Magnetic links support
• When closing and reopening a Message window, messages are kept one hour after the arrival of the last message
• New language - Italian

Changes:

• New English, Estonian, French, German, Korean language files
• Errors 3601 and 3602 made non-fatal in case there was a problem with audio devices
• improved support for simultaneous login from different locations
• improved connecting for clients who had UDP blocked

Fixed:

• fixed a bug which caused resetting of sound device setup on some cases
• Call tab context menu -> mute mic is disabled now if call is on hold
• Worked around errors if computer time was changed backwards during call
• Version checker was incorrectly started multiple times if could not connect/login
• 'Manage blocked users' form is not maximizable, resizes controls on resize and have min size constraint
• 'Close' in 'View user profile' screen is automatically adjusted according to the length of the text
• Invalid text was in ClearCallList confirmation dialog
• Tray menu -> send message was correctly disabled if offline or logged off
• All toolbar buttons are correctly disabled if offline or logged off

• Message window - handles correctly dpi settings
• Message window - not too sensitive to ALT key
• Message window - not too sensitive to esc anymore
• Message window - not possible to initiate call anymore if offline
• Message window - URL encoding for history file path
• Message window - tray bar notification does not pop up when chat window is already open
