Software-update: Skype 1.0.0.94

Skype is een VoIP-programma dat wordt ontwikkeld door dezelfde mensen achter KaZaA en maakt gebruik van de P2P-techniek uit dat programma. Hierdoor is het volgens de ontwikkelaars mogelijk een gesprek te voeren met een hogere kwaliteit dan via een gewone vaste telefoonverbinding. Skype Technologies S.A. heeft een nieuwe versie uitgebracht voor het Windows-platform en heeft gekozen voor 1.0.0.94 als het versienummer. Het meegeleverde changelog laat ons de volgende veranderingen zien:

• addressbar auto-completion with contactlist names
• addressbar now accepts fullname for calling

Changes:

• updated many language files
• when adding a contact, click Next in Finished dialog takes to first screen and empties the userhandle editbox
• default autoaway and auto-na times are now 5 and 20 minutes
• webpage and e-mail limit changed to 100 in personal profile

Bugfixes:

• if Language Editor is open in background, but somewhere in the back, choosing from menu "Tools -> Edit Skype Language File" will bring this window in front
• Start Tab content was not displayed if connection was made "too quickly"
• if Manage Blocked Users window is open in background, "Tools -> Manage Blocked Users" brings this window in front
• calltab is correctly updated if 2nd call drops off the conference during conference hold
• IM: commas do not break links anymore
• tooltips containing a pipe symbol are now displayed correctly
• addressbar history dropdown items can be deleted with 'del'
• contactlist/callhistory tooltip is capable of displaying unicode
• adding existing SkypeOut contacts to Contacts correctly disabled in call history
• IM - links with smileys are handled correctly
• better time estimate message for file transfers over 24 hours long
• links with ( dont work in IM
• File Transfer - Unicode characters in filename handled correctly
• File Transfer remembers the target directory
• conference topic is correctly displayed if contains non-ASCII characters
• conference participant's information correctly updated
• if non-host put conference on hold, it messed up the other non-hosts' conference tabs
• in some cases 'conference username' stayed in Menu.Call->Hold after dismissing conference.
• Contact List ordered correctly after SkypeOut number added
• File Transfer - message shown when trying to send a file to a blocked person
• File Transfer - fixed case when file extension got lost
• reduced flicker when resizing IM window
• all Skype dialogs placed in the middle of the screen
• many Unicode handling fixes
