Via heeft op VIA Arena nieuwe AC97 drivers geplaatst voor moederboarden uitgerust met een van de volgende chipsets: VT82C686A, VT82C686B, VT8231, VT8233, VT8233A, VT8233C, VT8235 and VT8237 southbridges of een VIA Six-TRAC. Uit de release notes kunnen de volgende veranderingen worden opgemaakt:
WDM:Setup:
- Changed the Microsoft std. mixer's topology. Added Master Volume control and moved Front, Surround, Center/LFE volume controls to new created destination line.
- Fixed the bug called "CD volume control on Microsoft std. mixer had some problems".
- Fixed the bug called "SPDIF function couldn't work for VIA audio controller, after system resumed from sleeping state".
- Suppressed the dialog of confirmation while the uninstallation is executed by "Add or Remove Programs".
